Winner'08 News
Elmira, N.Y., November 3--State Senator George Winner (R-C-I, Elmira) released the following statement today:
"There's a lot at stake for our region and for communities across upstate New York on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2008.
"There's a lot at stake for how we work, for what we value, and for what we hope for our families.
"Everything's on the line for our future economic security.
"When I took office in the New York State Senate nearly four years ago, I said that I valued the opportunity as your State Senator to get a few things done. I didn't seek the office to simply hold the title. I ran to make sure that the office of State Senate in the 53rd District would keep fighting for us.
"That determination remains my driving force.
"So I'm asking for your support to carry on, to keep making our partnerships even more productive, to keep this office of the State Senate working and making a difference for us and our communities.
"I have worked alongside so many colleagues, friends, neighbors, community leaders, and concerned citizens to move this region forward.
"Now I'm grateful for this opportunity to keep working together to preseve what we have, and to make it even better.
"I'm especially proud and privileged to ask, once again, for your support on Election Day."
